EPIC Programme – Employment and Integration Training for Unemployed Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Vulnerable Migrants

We are currently looking for referrals for the EPIC Programme training we are starting on Tuesday 28th January.
EPIC is a free programme that helps unemployed and job-ready asylum seekers with work permits and refugees increasing their chances of finding a job in Ireland. The programme offers online group training that covers employability skills such as CV writing, interview prep, workplace communication, and one-on-one sessions with our Career Counsellors. We also provide support from businesses, including workshops and practice interviews, plus integration workshops. The training lasts six weeks, with morning (Monday to Friday, 10am to 1pm) or afternoon sessions (Monday to Friday, 2pm to 5pm).
This is the eligibility criteria for the EPIC Programme:
Status – Unemployed adults or adults working part-time (less than 25 hours a week) who are one of the following:
Asylum seekers with work permits (we cannot work with asylum seekers who do not have a work permit)
Refugees with Stamp 4
People with Subsidiary Protection or Leave to Remain and Stamp 4
People from a refugee background and Irish passport
People with Temporary Protection Certificates (Ukrainian refugees)
Have a good level of English – They should have an intermediate (B1/B2) to high level of both written and spoken English and they need to be able to communicate in English without requiring translation support. We will assess their English language level before they join the programme.
Have access to a good internet connection and a laptop or computer with a webcam – We have limited laptops and/or wifi routers available to lend for this training.
Basic IT skills – Basic knowledge on how to use a laptop, email. Microsoft Word/Google docs and Zoom
